As the year ends, it’s always nice to look back. And seeing as I have a huge pile of New Year’s Cards to stamp and address, the cards of New Years’ past are very much on my mind.

This one of absolutely one of my favorites, created by Julie Schaffroth of Modern Posh for 2012. It is a fantastic design, for which I can take absolutely no credit; I sent Julie the pictures I wanted to use and mentioned I was liking chevron … and this is what she created!

I love that it is a Z-fold and the fonts Julie selected, and that each panel pops alone and also works well in tandem. On the back were several other snapshots of my daughter from throughout the year at age five. I cannot even begin to relay the animated responses it received when friends and family received it. The design is both memorable and cheerful, a great way to end one year and start another. And to me, that’s what sending a great holiday card is all about.

It almost goes without saying that Julie is quite talented. If you are interested in contacting her for custom projects, you can access her design services here.
