Today’s rather bulky package comes from Lure Paper Goods in sunny Orlando!
It reads: Dear Sarah, I love stumbling across die-hard fans of an outdated art! I’ve always loved receiving hand-written letters, and myself and the Lure family LOVE what you are doing with the Letter-Writing Campaign. We love when people take time to savor the little things, like a hand-written card, so that is why we are donating some of our own screen-printed cards for your Letter-Writing Campaign.
Some people think we are a bit crazy, and they may not be wrong. We design + then screenprint all of our greeting cards by hand in our studio … and the amount of things that can go completely wrong during printing is ABSURD. Printing the cards digitally is quicker, easier + cheaper … but the velvety quality of the ink + the rich colors that screen-printing offers suckered us in — hook, line and sinker. We hope they hook you in too!
Thank you again for such an awesome cause, we really dig what you do! Keep following your heart, and everyone else will dig it too.
All the best, Beleek + the Lure Family!
Thank you so much for writing in, Beleek! I admire your dedication, I absolutely adore screen-printing, and this big pack of donations you sent is so, so fun!
Can you write 30 letters in 30 days? Aside from stamps, you’ll have everything you need to do so, including a Gelly Roll pen from Sakura of America. Don’t forget to share your adventures online and connect with the growing movement on Instagram and elsewhere with the hashtag #write_on.
It looks like all 5,000 of write_on’s free kits were claimed before National Letter Writing Month even started, but you can still buy limited edition write_on super kits, each with 16 letterpress cards, envelopes plus a Gelly Roll pen, $26.95. These are exclusively at Paper Source stores nationwide. Find one near you, or you can see the Hello!Lucky kit online here and the Egg Press kit here.
Or, you can write into my campaign to try and win one of my three remaining special sets. Just drop me a quick note on your favorite stationery (which is most likely gathering dust) and tell me what makes it so. My address is: P.O. Box 22133, Beachwood, Ohio 44122.
