Today’s gorgeous missive comes from Toronto.
It reads: Dearest Sarah:
I still remember the first time I laid eyes on Stationery Trends, and thinking to myself that this must be a very special project. Thereafter I discovered your Letter Writing Campaign, and knew at once you were a kindred spirit! Even though we’ve never met, the combination of having read your blog and writing to you with pen and paper (such an intimate thing to do) makes me feel as if I’m writing to a dear old friend.
I illustrate, design and print greeting cards and other paper ephemera under the name Gotamago here in Toronto, Canada. I love your mission of keeping letter-writing alive, and would be delighted to contribute a few cards to your project. I try to tell stories behind the designs of my cards, for that is what me joy in the cards I receive from others!
I will be exhibiting for the first time at the National Stationery Show this May, and am looking forward to meeting you in person. Please come visit me at booth #2066 if you have a chance! Kind regards, Lichia
Thank you SO much for writing in, Lichia, and your work is wonderful. I know I hit your booth during NSS since I remember not only your compelling work, but meeting your behind-the-scenes partner-in-crime Christopher Guest (memorable name!).
Lichia is a volunteer foster parent for Black Dog Rescue and T.E.A.M. Dog Rescue, and many of her designs were directly inspired by the dogs she has cared for. The idea of story-telling is near and dear to me, and I love the way she tells hers! I know a letter-writing campaign correspondent will really enjoy these. Meanwhile, you can shop these and other great designs here.
I think these colorful silk-screened beauties from Lure Paper Goods are a really good fit for you. I hope you enjoy using them, and thank you both so much for writing in & donating your work!
Speaking of which, do you want some free, fabulous stationery? Just drop me a quick note on your favorite paper (which is most likely gathering dust) and tell me what makes it so. My address is: P.O. Box 22133, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. And if you are interested in being sponsor, don’t be shy — I’d love to hear from you too!
