Today’s letter comes from Queens, New York. As you can see, Jenipher Lyn of Nightly Doodles is obviously inspired by her environment. She is also on a noble quest to save the world, one doodle at a time!
The card reads:
I’m super-excited about your letter-writing campaign so I wanted to donate a few to give away! Thanks so much, Jenipher
P.S. Thank you so much for inspiring me about National Stationery Show! 2015 is my first time, and I’m so scared-cited!
Thank you so much for writing in, Jenipher, I can’t wait to meet you in person in May. Glad I could help you get inspired!
I am just finishing photo editing our spring issue, which will be all over NSS, and I’m pretty scared-excited myself. This is always the time I have last-minute doubts about how how everything will come together visually and whether I got everyone in the issue that I wanted to include — so I can just imagine the pressure that goes into getting ready to exhibit!
But just as I have a great team to help make everything picture-perfect, NSS has a lot of great resources to help you prepare. In particular, I think that Visual Merchandising & Display webinar on March 11 looks spectacular. Natalie Chang is the stylist behind all of Lifeguard Press‘ fabulous booths — and while their kate spade new york, ban.do, Jonathan Adler and Lilly Pulitzer lines are spectacular in and of themselves, her merchandising takes it to the next level with the result that the booth is consistently mobbed. Meanwhile Kelly Bristol, sales director of NSS, travels to shows around the world, so her expertise is invaluable. Check it out, and say hi to them both for me!
Jenipher included three cards to pass along to another correspondent — and they are too cute! Someone is really going to like these.
I’ve got a perfect match for Jenipher — another first-time NSS exhibitor, Reyn Paper Co. In fact, they’ll be neighbors since Reyn is in Booth 2070 and Nightly Doodles is a few aisles over in 2264. Reyn’s succulent Veggie Dots collection is debossed and domestically printed in Atlanta.
Thanks much to you both for your support! Getting involved (and getting some free stationery) is so easy. Just send me a letter, card or postcard on your favorite paper (which is most likely gathering dust) and tell me what makes it so. My address is: P.O. Box 22133, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. I will share it here, and then send you even more stationery. And if you are interested in being a sponsor, please reach out … I’d love to hear from you too!
