Today’s note comes from the Emerald City, Seattle — but I find this rendering of the Washington city to be far more marine than green.

It reads: Dear Sarah, I was wandering through my favorite stationery store, Paper Delights, when I thought, “I should pick out a card for the Letter-Writing Campaign.” I wanted to pick out a card that was printed locally and helped show off why I love this city so much.

Paper Delights and Compendium [where Angeline is Marketing Manager] are both located in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. If you’re ever in the city, I hope you’ll stop by! Best wishes, Angeline

Thank you so much for writing in, Angeline, I absolutely adore this card and am thrilled you remembered my campaign while you were in a stationery shop! The textured stock is perfect for a seaside map. Paper Delights looks like such a lovely venue — I’m always partial to mother-daughter endeavors. Meanwhile, Compendium is celebrating its 30th anniversary and is a Seattle staple in and of itself. I feel like I’ve gotten a real taste of this city!

I don’t have any stationery from a Seattle or even Washington company, but I think you may enjoy these Bowsprite “From the Deck of”  sheets. Measuring 6¼”x8¼” and are printed on a lightly textured ivory stock, they are utterly irresistible. You can almost see the vessels sailing off into the horizon in Christina’s lovingly rendered illustrations. She also sent me a slew of ship postcards, and those are yours as well!

Thank you so much to you both for being a part of my campaign! Speaking of which, do you want some free, fabulous stationery? Just drop me a quick note on your favorite paper (which is most likely gathering dust) and tell me what makes it so. My address is: P.O. Box 22133, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. And if you are interested in being sponsor, don’t be shy — I’d love to hear from you too!
