Today’s adorable and beautifully addressed letter hails from Waunakee, Wisconsin. Great coordinating typewriter stamp!

IMG_5230It reads:

Dear Sarah, While this isn’t necessarily my favorite paper (I don’t think I have a favorite yet!), it’s some neat Japanese stationery a friend sent me from Tokyo. I lived in Korea from 2013-14 teaching English, and boy do they have the most adorable stationery and paper products over there!

I happened upon your blog at some point during the past year or two and have been meaning to write in. Here it is — finally! Thank you so much for starting — and continuously running — your letter-writing campaign. What a simple, yet genius project to connect others through snail mail. As an ex-expat (Spain + Korea) and travel lover who is not on Facebook, I stay connected with others by sending out mail. I enjoy having fun with the envelopes and trying out new fonts + styles to decorate them. It’s nice to know others share the same appreciation of the craft + beautiful stationery.

I hope you’re proud of your remarkable contribution and impact in this world. You’re making a difference!

Gratefully, Rebecca (@RebeWithaClause)

Since she wrote this letter on Feb. 11, Rebecca also thoughtfully enclosed a Barbie, copywright 1992! Love it.

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement, Rebecca. I love that you correspond rather than Facebook! I wanted to give you something whimsical and really fun, so I thought these cards I showcased from Nightly Doodles by Jenipher Lyn earlier this month would be a good fit for you. Maybe they will become Rebecca’s favorite?

These whimsical, punny doodles are so fun — and Jenipher will be in Booth 2264 at National Stationery Show. I’m looking forward to seeing her work in person, not to mention finally meeting her!

Thank you SO MUCH to both Jenipher & Rebecca for your support!

Getting involved in my campaign (and getting some free stationery) is so easy. Just send me a letter, card or postcard on your favorite paper (which is most likely gathering dust) and tell me what makes it so.

My address is: P.O. Box 22133, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. I will share it here, and then send you even more stationery. And if you are interested in being a sponsor, please reach out … I’d love to hear from you too!
