Some of you may remember Casey King from last September, when she first wrote into this campaign on Winnie the Pooh stationery that she’d held onto for about 18 years, through several cross-country moves and apartments. I firmly believe that there is a little bit of Casey in every true stationery lover!
Now Casey has unveiled her stationery company, Context Studio, and written in again.
Sarah, I wrote to you a few months back when I discovered your blog on my Pooh stationery. I told you how I was working on opening my own stationery business & that I’d love to donate some cards once they actually got printed. And here they are!
I designed this very card I’m writing to you on now. It’s almost unreal to see my designs come to life & I’m so excited to donate a set to share with someone else your letter writing campaign reaches. I’ve been following your blog & campaign ever since I found it & I really enjoy the LWC posts in particular. If I didn’t say it last time, thank you for leading your campaign & sharing it. I love anything that encourages people to write more letters.
I’m excited to watch the blog & see where the cards end up! I hope the recipient enjoys them! Cheers! Casey King
Thank you so much for writing in again, Casey, and donating this great box of stationery! It’s always so rewarding to me to watch a company develop and flourish. This Plaid Hello Card Set is so lovely, and I see you’ve just introduced it in lighter gingham designs for spring. Each boxed set has two each of four designs.
I think these three very posh handmade cards from the very generous (and talented) Laura Elliot of Edinburgh’s LE Designs are a great fit for Casey. A lot of TLC went into each one — the paint-splattered card features real paint and little crystals, and the wings on the cards in the top center & left hand side can be gently raised. I didn’t want to raise them (in fact I was a little nervous taking the cards out of their cello envelopes) so the cards would stay pristine. They are precious!
Thanks much to you both for your support! Getting involved (and getting some free stationery) is so easy. Just send me a letter, card or postcard on your favorite paper (which is most likely gathering dust) and tell me what makes it so.
My address is: P.O. Box 22133, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. I will share it here, and then send you even more stationery. And if you are interested in being a sponsor, please reach out … I’d love to hear from you too!
