Today’s letter comes from Gainsville, Florida, meticulously scripted in white ink on kraft paper.
It reads: Dear Sarah, Hello from Florida! The write_on campaign and your blog have really INSPIRED me to write more handwritten letters. As a child and even now as an adult, I still love receiving snail mail. I also love sending it too! So I started handmaking stationery, including this notecard, with my own brush lettering then gold foiled by hand. I have provided two for your letter-writing campaign and HOPE it brings another writer happy mail! Thanks for your inspiration! Best regards, Gee
Thank you so much for writing in, Gee. What a great card to receive — and really everything about it was created by you! And thank you for these gorgeous hand-foiled cards … I know an upcoming correspondent will really enjoy them.
I have the perfect thing from you, coming your way via snail mail courtesy of Giddy Paperie. They have donated a set of posh Florida notecards for you. It comes replete with lined envelopes, and your compass has a little heart in the middle of the sun.
They have also included an 8-by-10″ print — it also says “Florida” in a lovely script right above the state. Giddy creates so much lovely work — if you haven’t checked out their Etsy store, it’s definitely worth a peek! Thank you so much to you both for supporting TPC’s campaign!
Speaking of which, do you want some free, fabulous stationery too? Just drop me a quick note on your favorite paper (which is most likely gathering dust) and tell me what makes it so. My address is: P.O. Box 22133, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. And if you are interested in being sponsor, don’t be shy — I’d love to hear from you too!
