It’s pretty hard for today’s letter not to brighten one’s day. It’s from Compendium’s bright & beautiful On Words collection. I’ve covered it in Stationery Trends — in fact we included the below pic in our signature mix marketplace lookbook, and I saw them at this past National Stationery Show (NSS), but to actually receive one in the mail is a real treat. They are far sturdier than you would think — and are multifunctional: the ties mean they can adorn a gift or a bottle of wine, and then can even be hung up & saved in a special spot.
It was sent by the company’s Angeline Candido and reads:
Dear Sarah, It was lovely to meet you in New York. After all of our emails, it’s really wonderful to attach a face to a name! Nothing beats meeting face to face. I hope you had a wonderful time at the show and got to see some wonderful new designs! I was very impressed by Lydia & Pugs. Anyway, thanks for all that you do to keep the love of stationery going! You are fabulous! Angeline
Thanks so much for writing in, Angeline! It was so nice to meet you as well — I agree with you completely about Lydia & Pugs — and I think you will really enjoy these lovely cards from Diane Morris of mythreepeonies — TPC readers will recall that she originally wrote into our letter-writing campaign this past June. These handmade cards feature text from a French literature book as the background, with a swirl design printed on the text page. Then each is embellished with a vintage floral image.
Wow — the baker’s twine accents are a brilliant touch! Thank you so much to you both for supporting the campaign!
I can’t tell a lie — it has taken me a while to get letters up here, but my pile is fast diminishing & I do hope everyone reading this blog will write in. Participating is so easy. Just send me a letter, card or postcard on your favorite paper and tell me what makes it so. My address is: P.O. Box 22133, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. I will share it here, and then send you even more stationery for your efforts. And to anyone else who is interested in donating, please reach out — I definitely want to hear from you too!
