Both today’s letter and box of stationery have a global flair. First, today’s letter is the first of its kind for TPC’s letter-writing campaign: a summer vacation postcard. This lovely & colorful design trekked here all the way from Copenhagen — about 4,070 miles. Its sender is a local here (so she traveled it too), and on back it reads:
Hi Sarah! I wanted to share this cool postcard by Danish artist IB Antoni from the 1950s-1960s. We have been traveling in Amsterdam and Copenhagen these past 2 weeks. They have cool looking greeting cards in their stationery stores, a tremendous amount of stores selling sneakers + bicycles everywhere! Great food too! Cheers! Wow, that sounds amazing! Thanks so much for remembering me on your holiday, Cristina, and I love Antoni’s work. Now I want one of those offset prints on his site.
I’m going to send you a little treasure from The Libretto Group. The Tea House note cards are from their Architectural Watercolors line. The sturdy box is filled with die-cut tea houses accompanied by lined and patterned envelopes. Truly exquisite! Thank you so much to the Libretto Group, and thanks again Cristina for writing in! It has taken me a while to get letters up here, but my pile is fast diminishing & I do hope everyone will write in, especially because I’ve just gotten a wonderful new sponsor.
Participating is so easy. Just send me a letter, card or postcard on your favorite paper and tell me what makes it so. My address is: P.O. Box 22133, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. I will share it here, and then send you even more stationery for your efforts. And to anyone else who is interested in donating, please reach out — I definitely want to hear from you too!
