I was so excited to spy two letters in my P.O. Box yesterday afternoon, though a moment of panic ensued when I thought I had two letters and only one giveaway. Thankfully, one was for the Publisher’s Clearinghouse Sweepstakes and not even addressed to me, but the other came from Bee Eastman of Pushing Papers, our first winner!

The letter reads in part, “Dear Sarah, These cards are very special to me and don’t come out of the cupboard very often. Designed by Liz Robinson, owner of Mia Carta in Boston, she designed my entire wedding suite in a wonderful red, and the calligraphy was done by Nancy Howell.

The theme was Pears or Pairs (!), as we became a new pair. We had chocolate-dipped pears hanging from a very large branch to make a pear tree, and all the guests took one home.”

That sounds like quite an event indeed — and what a thrill to see this gorgeous stationery. The photograph I took doesn’t do justice to its thickness, or the arresting simplicity of its golden pear. Thanks so much for sharing, Bee, and your posh Hello letterpressed notecards from delphine will be on their way to you later today. Congratulations!
