I love that last day before winter break — it’s always a flurry of excitement as you finish up the year’s business and get ready for the next one. In that vein, I’m cleaning out my 2014 holiday files to make space for the great design 2015 will offer. Here are a few favorites. If you like what you see, check out these designer’s other offerings — there’s surely something you can’t live without!

Tal Shpantzer Photography added this understated yet mesmerizing design — a study in simplicity — to her Petal Series of cards. $4, or $18/6 all tied up with natural black hemp string.

Hashtag the Planet gives us this unexpectedly fun design, one of many holiday expressions that thankfully veer well off the mainstream. $15/5.

This design from Queenie’s Cards has a similar but still-distinctive vibe. $4.95, or $15/set of 5. Here’s where to find the line in stores.

There’s nothing not to love about postcards, and this kraft design from Love. Luck. Kisses & Cake is especially beguiling. $4, or $18/5. And check it out: Katelyn penned a post for Martha Stewart on lettering your envelopes to make them stand out! I have a huge pile of New Year’s cards to get out so I’m definitely going to be borrowing from it.

Finally I have this very special design from The Persephone Papers. Mistletoe Kiss is 3D holiday scene tucked in a French blue mailing tube, finished with gold end caps. Includes display stand. Address and write your message directly on the label. $26.

I am hanging up my blogging shoes for the next few weeks, but I’ll be back in the New Year. Have an amazing holiday, everyone!
