Seeing the new Golden Rectangle collection from Ferme À Papier — not to mention its dazzling creator Cat Seto — was a definitely a National Stationery Show highlight for me.

Cat explained to me the collection’s origins:  “I have been intrigued with geometry this year and found myself drawing the same rectangle as a framing exercise over many of my illustrations. I wanted to give ode to the golden ratio this year and mix this with florals and patterns. This has spun off into other geometric shapes like cosmic circles and eyes. Ferme has always been about everyday celebrations, so I also illustrated a friendship collection.”

Choose from a beguiling bevy of greeting cards, gift tags, thank-yous, notepads, art calendars, art prints, plus a desk calendar and yearless planner. The deep dark colors featured in the palette, brightened with foil, is eye-catching, entrancing and engaging. And I love how rectangles — golden and beyond — subtly tie it all together.

You can shop it all here — the biggest challenge is picking a favorite!

As a sidenote, I selected Cat as one of Stationery Trends10 Designers to Watch in 2015 — with good reason, as evidenced by this collection! I was so thrilled she could make a special dinner at the aptly named Print Restaurant at Ink 48 during NSS, graciously hosted by Mohawk to salute this talented group. Read all about it in this fab Felt & Wire post!
