This week’s pick is an oldie but goodie from Jim York and Albert Tanquero at the The Found — their very first line of greeting cards, journals, coasters, buttons and magnets called, appropriatedly enough, BUSTED.

The starting off point was Albert’s collection of 1950s mug shots, bought from a Chicago crime photography collector. “We fictionalized their names and crimes,” Albert told me. “I bought about 500 over the course of a year. Jim and I were looking at them one day when the idea of making them into greeting cards came about. Five years later we are still at it!”

These magnets and buttons are definitely worth their price simply as conversation starters. Magnets are just $1.25, buttons just 95 cents! Tell inquiring parties it’s a relative.
