Stationery that takes you to little magical worlds will always receive high marks in my book — so I am loving these heavily layered and patterned releases from The Stationery Bakery, all illustrated by Sarah Donovan and then locally printed in Austin, Texas.

“I primarily illustrate florals, animals, and eclectic patterns,” she told me. “I started out this collection with floral-heavy illustrations but really wasn’t feeling super inspired. I had a conversation with Carina of Crow & Canary and she encouraged me to pursue my animals. After hearing her feedback, I immediately felt overwhelmed with this excitement about focusing on my animals. I started to illustrate new black and white animals and fell in love with their personalities. I knew I wanted to added an extra element of charm and thus the bold and bright floral crowns. With my animals, I like to use heavy brushwork so people can see my painting process. In addition to my animals, I added some fun botanical pieces for summer!”cover calendarcalendar 3 copycalendar 4calendar 2calendar 1lemur engagedThat calendar is so fabulous!
