Direct from Paris: Papier Tigre!

For me, no visit to NY NOW (which now includes National Stationery Show) is complete without a leisurely stroll through its vaunted & juried Accent on Design section. And this year’s did not disappoint … Papier Tigre is just the stationery style infusion I’d been craving (although I didn’t know that until I saw it!).

The French house of paper is serious about creating “smart products to render everyone’s routine more beautiful” — and can’t we all use a bit of that? Run by a team consisting of “8 people and sometimes a dog,” last year they sold 4.5 tons of notebooks and manufactured 94,000 pens and pencils.

Reviewing their colorful, patterned range, that’s not too surprising!

All the pieces below come from their Utopia range.

It’s easy to get lost in Papier Tigre’s eshop, and if you are fortunate enough to be in Paris in Tokyo, you can shop their stores there.

Their merchandise is also sprinkled through American stationery shops. I know that GREER Chicago carries this range — it’s all over their home page in fact! — so it’s worth querying your favorite local shop!
