Many of my readers are acquainted with Artifact Uprising’s premium-quality, customizable photo goods crafted with pride and more than a little love in Denver. After all, they are being entrusted with our most cherished moments — they are precious! For them, books are more than just a product, they are a vehicle to deliver joy, which they see as their larger mission.

So for the month of November, Artifact Uprising has partnered with with Book Trust, a national literacy nonprofit also headquartered in Denver. Artifact Uprising will pledge $1 to Book Trust’s program for each sign-up on their website to purchase books for Title 1 elementary schools across the nation. This does not, I repeat DOES NOT, require any purchase to participate!

According to Book Trust, children living in low-income communities average one book per 300 children. The organization aims to help children find their love for learning through books they can enjoy and keep — and in the 2017 to 2018 school year alone, Book Trust provided nearly one million books to 55,000 students.

As a result of their efforts, the percentage of Book Trust students reading at grade level has already jumped from 31 percent to 59 percent. “We are so thankful for this partnership opportunity,” said Tiffany Kuehner, its President and CEO. “There are 16 million children living in poverty in the US, and we can help many more of them fall in love with reading by raising awareness through mission-driven companies like Artifact Uprising.”

This partnership stems from Artifact Uprising’s desire to expand on Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Maris Johansson, Artifact Uprising’s VP of Marketing, explained, “We wanted a whole season, not just a day, of sharing and giving the gift of books.”

They hope to reach a donation goal of $10,000 and it is too easy to help. As someone who fell in love with books at an early age and still considers them a defense mechanism against troubles, I hope all of you sign up to help bring more big smiles to these sweet little faces! Meanwhile, November also marks the time to start thinking about spreading joy to loved ones via holiday and New Year’s cards and postcards. Artifact Uprising’s latest crop is so beguiling!

Several foil-stamped designs are available, and this year they’re also offering envelope addressing. Some have room for a holiday letter, but all offer the impeccable design which distinguishes the brand. Here’s a peek. You can see that I had a little trouble picking favorites! There’s over 100 to choose from, so really it’s not bad photo-editing on my part. All are made from 100% recycled paper, and the collection features many more timeless styles and layouts — so if you have a certain photo in mind, it’s easy to find the perfect fit!
