An English Girl in Paris

I’ve waxed eloquent about the British design invasion arriving stateside, well, not so surprisingly it’s also reached the streets of Paris. Roisin Astell is a 22-year-old English girl who quite simply, moved to the City of Love and fell in love herself. Inspired by her Paris wanderings and her passion for photography, her prints and greeting cards allow others to bring a piece of the City of Light into their homes.

Roisin’s range is entirely produced by her, as she hand-mounts each of her photos onto ivory archive paper. “I find the process of card-making really relaxing,” she told me, “and enjoy making them for others to send on to loved ones.”

Ah, Paris! I feel like I’ve had a quick visit, minus the jet lag and those pesky security lines.

As well as Paris, Roisin finds inspiration through her other travels and just the world around her. “I try and see things from different and new angles. Exploring the things around me in that sense really inspires my photography, and thus my creative passion for turning photos into prints.”

You can shop the entire line of art prints, postcards and notecards in her Roisin’s Etsy shop — or get an insider’s take on Paris and its environs in her picturesque blog!
